FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Full-time, Non-exempt position available
Job Objective:
Complete general maintenance of all Agency property in a professional and responsible manner
Keep all facilities and grounds clean, orderly and well maintained
Provide donation pick ups and deliveries
Duties include: Perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks in facility and ground maintenance including preventative maintenance and repair.
Drive Agency vehicle to pick up and deliver donations per assigned schedule; maintains and cleans Agency vehicles.
Provide skilled operation and maintenance of the HVAC and plumbing equipment for all Agency facilities by monitoring the operating condition at each location and detailing maintenance needs to supervisor in a timely manner.
Respond to emergency repairs; assess needs and detailing repair needs to supervisor in a timely manner.
Communicate with each facility regarding status of pickups, repairs, or work assigned daily.
Ensure all agency vehicles are in legal compliance and safe working order.
Purchase parts and supplies when approved by supervisor and/or the executive director per Agency procurement policy.
Maintain receipts and records on all expenses.
Attend and participate in Agency meetings as directed.
Assist in other agency projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements for this position are:
Must be 25 years of age or older with a High school diploma or GED
Ability to interact effectively with management as well as a diverse customer population
Reliable transportation with valid insurance and State of Texas Driver License Class A or B or C CDL
Knowledge and use of hand and power tools
Read, write and converse in English
Requires extensive walking, carrying, dragging, holding, pulling, pushing, lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting body, walking, reaching, and squatting; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds
RESIDENTIAL SUPERVISOR
Need dependable, organized and compassionate adults to work in our shelters with survivors of domestic violence. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and develop positive, healthy relationships with residents of the safe shelter.
The available positions are part-time, and include two Monday through Friday shifts from 5pm to 8am or varying weekend shifts.
Duties include: · Monitor clients activities to ensure a clean and safe environment;
· Make certain that the Brighter Tomorrows cooperative living agreement and safety guidelines are followed by residents;
· Prepare rooms after a client exits;
· Complete intake forms for new clients;
· Provide child care as needed;
· Comply with all agency policies and procedures as well as any grant requirements;
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements for this position are:
· Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds for short distances
· Must be able to move up and down stairs
· Must be able to stand, reach and bend with flexibility
· Must have basic telephone and computer skills
· Must have good listening and verbal communication skills
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance and good driving record are required.
Bi-lingual(English/Spanish)would be a plus.
