| Need a dependable and organized adult with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer population. This position provides customer service and stockroom assistance as well as performs as cashier under the supervision of the Thrift Store Coordinator. Hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred. Duties for this position include: • Sort and price tag merchandise • Design and implement sales & special sales event displays • Provide excellent customer service • Assist with training of volunteers • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports as required • Operate cash register • Ensure timely bank deposits • Other duties as assigned Physical requirements for this position are: • Must be able to lift 25 pounds • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time • Must be able to stand reach and bend with flexibility
| | Volunteer Coordinator |
| This full time, exempt position will recruit, screen, train and assign volunteers for all agency programs as well as provide administrative support for development activities under the supervision of the Director of Development. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, 2 years experience in supervising volunteers and 2 years experience in an office environment with intermediate computer proficiency. Duties include: • Maintain list of volunteer opportunities • Develop and solidify relationships with volunteer centers, colleges and community organizations as a source of volunteers and interns • Maintain current list of all volunteers, track volunteer hours and complete reports as required • Plan and coordinate training sessions for volunteers including monthly new volunteer orientations • Develop and maintain volunteer training manual, volunteer packet materials and other materials as required • Schedule volunteers for special events for shelter/transitional clients and children • Coordinate and update speaker’s bureau making presentations as needed • Schedule staff and volunteers to assure adequate exhibit personnel at fairs, expos, etc. • Assist in supporting donor management system • Assist in separating and preparing donations for pick/up and distribution to shelters/transitional and thrift stores • Other duties as assigned

| Need dependable, organized and compassionate person to work with survivors of domestic violence. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and develop positive, healthy relationships with residents of the safe shelter. Monitor clients activities to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained. Ensure residents adhere to the cooperative living agreement and safety guidelines,; provide notices for infractions. Part-time positions are available from 16 – 32 hr/wk, evenings in Grand Prairie and Irving. |
