October 8 at 9am: DeSoto Walk

Join us for the Score Factor DeSoto Walk 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk a family event raising awareness of domestic violence and community resources benefiting Brighter Tomorrows.

October 17 at 6pm: Memorial Service

Grand Prairie Police Department is partnering with Brighter Tomorrows to honor the lives lost to violence. The service will be held in both English and Spanish.

October 20 all day:

Purple Thursday

Put on your purple and stand up against family violence.

Purple Thursday or “Go Purple Day” is a national day of action each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Everyone is encouraged to wear all things purple as a symbol of peace, courage, survival, honor, and personal dedication to domestic violence awareness

October 15 at 10am: Free Training

The Intersection of Mental Health and Domestic Violence free training at St. Luke's Community UMC presented by Brighter Tomorrows.

October 18 at 6:30 pm: Illuminate Irving

During the event, participants can personalize a lantern in honor of a victim or survivor that will be released on the water at the conclusion of the ceremony. This free event is open to the public.

October 21 at 7 pm: Kickback with Mali Music

Come enjoy a Mali Music Concert at Grace Community Church North Dallas benefiting Brighter Tomorrows and raising awareness.
