Resource and Counseling Services
Counseling services and crisis intervention services are available to shelter and non-shelter clients.
Counselors are available Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, during regular business hours.
Evening counseling services are available by appointment only. For appointments or information contact 972.263.0506.
The Brighter Tomorrows counseling team provides adult/child individual counseling, group counseling, parenting skills classes, and CPS classes for anyone with an open CPS case. CPS Group sessions are provided at 6 PM on Wednesdays. To attend these sessions please contact our office to complete the intake process. Individual Counseling (adult/children):
Brighter Tomorrows provides individual counseling for survivors of domestic violence
and/or sexual assault.
Adult Group Counseling:
Self-care sessions address topics such as domestic violence awareness and prevention,
parenting and life skills, and health issues which are discussed in an encouraging, safe,
nonjudgmental and interactive setting.
Children's Counseling:
Children's play therapy is available to residential and non-residential survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
Sexual Assault Services:
Crisis intervention services are provided 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week via the 24-hour crisis hotline 972-262-8383.
Accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutors' offices and courts during regular business hours.
Brighter Tomorrows participates in a SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) in collaboration with DARCC (Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center).
Advocacy:
The case managers and counseling staff are trained to advocate for you and will coordinate with hospital staff to secure your safety while being treated. Court, prosecutors' office, and local law enforcement accompaniment are provided for support to assist in the facilitation of protective orders, police reports, court hearings and other legal proceedings.

Crime victims and their families may need information, resources, or financial assistance.
The Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) Program helps crime victims and their immediate families with the financial costs of crime. CVC covers crime-related costs such as counseling, medical treatment, funerals, and loss of income not paid by other sources.

El Programa de Compensación a las Víctimas del Crimen (CVC) ayuda a las víctimas del crimen y sus familiares cercanos con los gastos del crimen. CVC cubre los gastos relacionados al crimen tal como la consejería, tratamientos médicos, funerales y los ingresos perdidos que no pagan otras fuentes.
