The Showers of Blessings initiative began with one church and continues rapid growth.

A month is designated and a representative from Brighter Tomorrows makes a brief presentation during service on the first Sunday of that month.  This allows for ample time to promote the event throughout the month.

A specific location is designated for donation drop-off which encourages contributions as the collection grows throughout the month.  A focused list of items to collect is distributed and these gifts are greatly needed by the Grand Prairie and Irving emergency safe shelters.

Generally, the most needed items are cleaning supplies and paper goods.
